bam bam creative

It's been awhile since I've done a handmade post so yesterday I did a little window shopping over at Felt.co.nz and came across this gorgeous New Zealand label Bam Bam Creative. Run by New Zealand girl Jess, Bam Bam Creative is full of pretty floral fabrics and vintage inspired homewares, including pillows, wall decals, bunting and jewellery. I love the heart shaped buttons the best.

Jess also has a blog where you can find out what shes been up to and the things that inspire her.

You can't be serious?

Photography by empreinte

I dont feel like doing anything today. My landlord just put my new place up for sale, I only moved in a few weeks ago. Im trying to look at the positive, like at least it will force me to keep my place clean or the fact I was planning on moving to Queensland later in the year anyways. But I can't help but be really annoyed! Annoyed they didn't tell us these plans before we moved in, that strangers will be coming through my house every weekend for the next month. Annoyed I have to go through all this stress and it isn't even my house.

I really just want to stay in bed all day and eat chocolate,
but I have to keep moving forward.

Mori Girl

Ive just fallen in love with blog Mori Girl after discovering it via Three Buttons. Its full of pretty fashion and inspiration based around the subculture of the Mori Girl.

The mori girls (森ガール) belong to a Japanese subculture. 'Mori' means forest in Japanese, and mori girls look like fairytale forest wanderers in their loose dresses, vintage prints and quaint accessories. Mori girls choose to live their lives on their own terms, stopping to appreciate the little things that others overlook amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Secret Squirrel A/W 2010

Sydney based label Secret Squirrel have just launched their A/W 2010 collection, The White Album - inspired by The Beatles record of the same name. An eclectic range with their signature vintage influences, it incorporates dark overdyed floral prints, luxe sixties sequinned fabrics, crisp chambray and sharp abbey road style tailoring.

View the whole collection on their website www.secretsquirrelclothing.com.au. My personal favourites are the high waisted skirts.
