The dog days are over
The dog days are done

The horses are coming
So you better run

Photography, little girl blue, Turkey.

It's been awhile since I done a Music Monday post. Feel free to do your own music monday post too and send me the link so I can have a look.

PS. does the music player work for you? I think It might not play sometimes.

EIDT: Turns out you need to use a skin with a video player ( thanks for that Clare)

pretty packaging

I stumbled upon these hand illustrated bags on babalisme. A clever idea for recycling and prettying up the simple ziplock bag. Although I guess it helps if you can draw in the first place!

DisBand

Many of you might already know that the opening of group exhibition DisBand was held in Sydney on Thursday night. Alot of my favourite artists were included in the show.

Queen of Hearts (2) -- Erin Flannery

I wasn't able to go along to the opening but I did put my orders in and got myself this original Queen of Hearts (2) by Erin Flannery. yay!! Ive been following Erin's work for a few years now and last year she won the prestigious Off The Wall award. It's an award recognising the best new emerging talent in Australia. She's a star and I'm so happy to now have one of her originals.

Anyways back to DisBand... you can now browse and buy the works yet to be sold in the Leeloo shop (international shipping too). I'd love to buy the Courtney Brims...but I really should be saving money!

oh and if you'd like to look at more pictures from the opening you can HERE.

Pony Rider - Wallwares

flags and walldots from Pony Rider

You might remember Australian homewares label Pony Rider from their debut collection, which did the blogs rounds last year. Well they've just released their second collection including a new product range wallwares - which I'm loving!

The wallwares collection includes retro wall flags and an Artist Series of removable walldots. The first series features Photographers Claire & Jeremy Weiss of Day 19, Chris Searl of Monster Children and illustrator Courtney Brims.

You'll also find their staple 45cm throw cushions and playful teakins in the collection with wallpaper soon to follow.

I'd love so many of these for my house...but if I was to choose a favourite it's between the bambi nights pillow or players welcome both would look great on my white vintage couch. Id also like a walldot please!!!

Harada Tomoyo

Harada Tomoyo a Japanese website I came upon via Floddertje. Im not sure what its all about, googling her name said shes an actress /singer...anyone speak Japanese? Either way I adore the styling of these photos. The house reminds me of something you'd see on The Shelby.

PSS. The winner of the Secret Squirrel GIVEAWAY is comment #17 Dannie. Thank you everyone who entered, I wish I could give you all a prize!

Vintage Cameras

I came across this vintage camera shop Canemah.etsy.com whilst reading the Frankie guest curator feature on The Storque yesterday. They're all reasonably priced too, better then what you'd find them for on eBay. But it does take the magic away from coming across one of these in a vintage store or opshop.

oh, and how amazing is this camera collection?! (via FOREVER IS TODAY)

What do you like to collect?

monday morning thoughts and ramblings...

Its going to be a busy week! I'm getting my photo taken on Wednesday for an article which I can hopefully share with you all soon. eeek!!! I'm so camera shy and would much rather be on the other side of the camera.

How was your weekend? I spent mine catching up with old friends. Its so nice to spend time with people who knew you when you were young.

Well Happy Monday!

PS. The WINNER of the Earrings Nation giveaway is comment #4 h.tea. I have more giveaways coming up this month. Sorry my giveaways are so sporadic. I find it exhausting to run them all the time, so doing them in a bunch works better for me.

I deleted the last one because I didnt feel comfortable with the whole "become a fan" angle. But Facebook have now changed it to "like".
