Kelsey Genna :: Begonia House Collection

I've been following emerging New Zealand designer Kelsey Genna since the start of her journey at fashion school (some of you probably are already familiar with her work and blog). Kelsey has blogged and sold her designs the whole time and is graduating already having her own namesake label under her belt, not bad for only 19years old!

Begonia House is for her final graduate collection and I'm completely in love with it. Inspired by the beautfy and form of flowers with each piece made by hand in house. A limited number are for sale exclusively through Kelsey's online boutique www.kelseygenna.com.

PS. Found this interview with Kelsey too incase you'd like to read a bit more about her journey and latest collection.

I'm going to Tokyo and I want to be a Mori Girl

Those who follow me on twitter are probably sick of me talking about Tokyo and how excited I am to be going. So sorry for all the tweets about it but seriously I have been drooling over all the cute shops and clothes for years now! Every time I see pictures of Tokyo and Japanese style such as on Hello Sandwich and Mori Girl my heart skips. Such loveliness.

So if you've been I'd love to know what was your favourite thing/place to see/do/stay in Tokyo.

iro iro

Happy Valentines Day lovelies. Aren't these knitted hearts by iro iro the cutest? (found via Netherless)

What are you dong for the day? Do you celebrate it? I just got back from my mini trip to Melbourne and had such a fun time hanging out with my sister and Mum. We went to see Archibald winning artist Del Kathryn Barton give a talk and I also spent a day shopping in St Kilda and Chapel st. Oh and I also went to Daisos in Richmond, so much Japaneses cuteness in that shop! Everytime I go back to Melbourne I end up rushing around the whole time with people to catchup with and things to do, its nice but also nice to be home again. If that makes sense.

Hansel from Basel

Los Angeles label Hansel from Basel create the loveliest tights. Such as the my lost glasses tights and the curtain tights. They make me miss Melbourne where I would be happily doning my tights most of the year round.

Did I mention I'm off to Melbourne this week? so excited, I'm seeing Foals for the third time on thursday night (does that now make me a crazy groupie?) Also will be hanging with my sister and mum and visiting all my favourite places... oh and drinking some Melbourne coffee, sorry Gold Coast people but Melbourne coffee is soooo good!

Secret Squirrel A/W 2011

A sneaky peek at the new winter 2011 collection from one of my favourite Aussie labels Secret Squirrel. The collection is inspired by '90s grunge band Nirvana as well as a mix of '60s mod tailoring. I think there is also a '70s boho feel to the collection especailly the print which I love!

I posted my favourite looks from the collection but you can see more over at Liebemarlene Vintage.

Golden Arrow a side project by Lisa Mitchell

Have you seen Golden Arrow? It's a new band (kind of) and side project of Lisa Mitchell's....

~
Golden Arrow could be described as a band,
but are really more of a collective of universal explorers, seeking to create their own world.

Not content with the ordinary they have decided to embark upon a nomadic lifestyle of traveling, creating music, living, loving and playing shows along the way.
~

and they have a blog! can't wait to see what they create.

A Little Love Story” the latest collection from German designer Erika Hendrix for asuyeta.
