two bloggers

I love this photo of me and Amanda aka Here Comes The Sun
I didn't realise till looking at the photo more closely that we are both sitting the same, with similar sunnies, smile and both wearing polka dots. Makes me laugh... twins!

Amanda is staying with me at the moment and it's taking us twice as long to do everything as we stop to take photos first with my cameras and then hers.

milk from a thistle - summer 2011

Milk from a thistle summer 2011 collection.
I love Milk from a thistle's prints!! last season I loved the Stallion print and this season my favourite would be the cloud print. Also really liking the pops of orange-y red through the collection. I've noticed I've been getting more and more of this colour, it started with nail polish and now I have two dress and shoes in this colour. Its fast becoming my favourite fresh summer colour.

They have also got 50% off previous collection in their online store. Maybe I'll get that Stallion print I've been eyeing.

Westfield Blogger Challenge

I was recently asked by Westfield if I wanted to take part in a blogger style challenge. As part of the challenge bloggers were asked to shop a complete summer trend for under $200.
The choices were from Colour Blocking, Monochrome, Safari Prints, Stripes or 70's inspired Boho. I chose to shop for a boho look, inspired by the boho queen Isabel Lucas! I love Isabel's casual boho style, I wanted to see if I could achieve something similar but still me. I also really love all the crystal jewellery around right now, so boho was my obvious choice. It also suits the Queensland weather well!

Red & Orange cotton dress $45, Amethyst Ring $25, Agate Ring $12 - Tree of Life
Coral Sandals $49.95 - Novo
Crochet Tank $39.95 - City Beach

I met up with the Westfield Insider, Alyce for an afternoon of shopping. It was so much fun! Alyce took me through some of the key pieces for achieving a boho look, and I never would of thought to look in Tree Of Life! But Alyce showed me the treasures that can be found there!

I was doubtful I could achieve a whole outfit for under $200, sometimes I can spend that all on one piece... but I actually came in under budget. I looked at buying some bangles with the last of the money, but I had a bunch at home already from my trip to India, so styled the outfit with those.

credits: Thanks to Kelly for taking the pictures (much better than using the tripod). Also used Julia Trotti's photoshop curves.

memories from instagram

Sunny days at the beach

Look what I spotted in new Frankie magazine.

Being a tourist at home - up the top of the Q1 in Surfers Paradise

Trips to Brisbane - hot chocolates (the best ever!!) in Paddington and visits to T2 tea shop.

Cute suede shoes from Olukai
New loves: opshop tapestry and Lomography LC-A+

Lazy days at home

Making outfits on my bed. Secret Squirrel top, midi length amber skirt.

Cuddles with Olive (my sisters puppy) & Ziggy (Amanda's kitty)

Its fun to look back at my instagram photos, makes my life look all sunshiney.... full of pets, and shopping and days at the beach, cameras and cafes. To be more balanced it would need pictures of me napping and hanging at home in my pjs on a saturday.

LyricisM

Link
Stunning lookbook by Japanese label LyricisM. As much as I don't like the cold, there is something magical about misty winter mornings. I would love to do a photoshoot like this.

I haven't been around the blog much this past week, needed a little R&R. I will be back to regular posting this week.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! I spent mine taking the puppies to the park and doing some spring cleaning around the house. Oh and listening to Feist's new album.
