Just A Minute in August.................

Reading... textbooks and journal papers. Yes full into study mode now. Novel wise, I attempted to read 50 Shades of Grey but seriously just didn't get the hype...I gave up half way through the first one. What have you been reading? I need some good books to read.

Drinking... coffee and more coffee. With the days warming up though I'm looking forward to making some smoothies and summery drinks.

Listening... to San Cisco, my Splendour in the Grass band discovery.

Watching... Breaking Bad and lectures on youtube. Wow it is so different doing uni this time round with so much free knowledge online, anytime I'm not understanding a concept I just do a search on youtube and sure enough there is a uni lecture or tutorial.

Loving... my subscriptions to LustHaveit and BellaBox, so fun getting those in the mail each month. I decided to buy myself a yearly subscription as a treat. I don't know which I prefer yet as I've only received one BellaBox, but maybe I can do a review post after a few more.

I'm now three weeks into being a full time PhD student, it's been so strange to go from working as a research assistant to full time study and still keep the same office. Doing a PhD is so different from undergrad studies, it's mostly self directed and there are days where I am unsure if I've read enough, learn't enough achieved enough for the day. I guess it will all be part of the learning process and understanding how to conduct research. My mind is being pushed and expanded and I couldn't be happier.  It's nice to take a break form it all though and hang with my blogging friend Ally to take some pretty pictures by the water. This time of year on the Coast is so perfect, beautiful days and warm glowy afternoon sun I could happily have this weather all year round!
