Also travel has always been something I want to do and do more of, nothing helps you learn more about yourself, give perspective on what's important and see how others live. I hope my life can always be full of travel.

I love morning time, it's my favourite time of the day and I've always been an early riser. Mornings are so quiet and still and full of promise of the day ahead. It's also the perfect time to get things done before the days distractions start. With a coffee in hand!!

Fossil Be Charmed

My newest jewellery love is my Fossil Charm Story bracelet.  I've never owned a charm bracelet before and was only thinking how I would really like to have one, in fact with my birthday coming up in a few months I had actually been thinking that's what I'd like for my present.  So I was very excited when Fossil invited me to view their Be Charmed range and put together my very own charm story.

Fossil's collection of quirky, vintage inspired charms suits my taste so perfectly!! Hot air balloons, Polaroid cameras, typewriters, cute animals... It was so hard to choose.

The story behind my charm picks:

1// Bracelet.  The starter bracelet was an easy choice, when I was little my Dad bought me a silver circle link chain bracelet so I was immediately drawn to this chain as it remind me of that bracelet, so it really felt more special than the other styles for me.

2// Charms.  The camera charm was a given, I love photography and cameras... in fact it was the one charm I knew I wanted before I even when into the store.  The other two I played around with choices in the store seeing what felt right. The deer was my second choice, I'm a bit of a deer collector and my Nan just gave me her vintage deer that she has had in the house since I was a little girl....and the heart with the little bit of bling reminds me of my new sparkly Queensland life.

3// Drop hints to family of the other charms I want... haha :P  For me the next will be the hot air balloon, my bracelet needs some colour and a reminder for me to take more adventures next year!

Gautama Buddha one day asked one of his disciples to beg alms from a certain household and report to him at dusk. The monk returned to the master as per his command only to let him know that he would not beg for alms in that particular house again.

When pressed for the reason, the monk answered, " I savored the delicious food served and I suddenly felt an urge to eat something sweet. The lady of the house offered me a sweet dish. I then felt like sleeping and the lady immediately asked me to rest for a while. I was surprised by her ability to read my thoughts that I asked how she knew of my desires?"

"The lady replied, 'Witnessing my thoughts, my mind has become silent now that I can now see other thoughts as well"

The monk continued to Buddha, "Looking at her I had sexual thoughts also and now I am embarrassed to see her again for alms as she would have read my sensual desire as well. So I do not want to visit her house for alms"

The Buddha said that the monk ought to go to the particular house for alms again. He advised, "This time you will go as a changed person. Just be aware of your thoughts, every bite of your food and every step that you take. You will just have to watch every thought that arises, but do not co-operate with it. Disassociate with it and do not analyze it. No thought is yours, they come from outside."

The monk did as advised by Gautam Buddha, He remained a mere witness to his thoughts and there was no co-operation from his end. There was a change within him, an inner peace, though the world continued to remain the same.

I get up super early (6am most days) to fit in my blogging before I start my day of uni. It starts with working on a post, answering some emails and then going through the blogs I follow on bloglovin for any new posts from favourites.

I've been using many different tools over the years for reading and following blogs and I must say bloglovin has become the standout one for me and the only one I use now.  It really has been designed with the blog reader in mind, you get a feed with a snapshot of each new post and you can favourite posts to come back to as well as discover new blogs.  They also have an app for blog reading on your phone.

Reading...Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald, I'm still on my classics fix. What are your favourite Classics?

Listening... Lisa Mitchell's new album - Bless This Mess.  Also Flume, San Cisco, Little Dragon, Snakadaktal and Matt Corby.  Oh and Foals my long time favourites have just released a new single. yay! Can't wait for their new album Holy Fire.  Do you use Spotify?  I've been using it to listen to new music recommendations to see if I like before I purchase.

Cooking...Jamie Oliver's 15 minute meals, although they take me a bit longer than 15 minutes! I don't mind though as it's still a quick and healthy meal and it's fun learning new recipes instead of cooking the same few meals over and over.
